Coach Leigh Anne joined High Five Fitness in April of 2017 and has been coaching for us since September 2018. However, the title “Coach” is not new for her; she has been coaching a variety of group fitness classes since 2013.
As an athlete over the past 25 years, Leigh Anne has tried just about every type of group fitness class that exists. Her fitness regimen is constantly evolving. Her mantra is, “Variety is the spice of life” and she lives that to the fullest! She says, “I can find inspiration and spice things up in any group fitness class! It’s good for your soul. I promise!”. Leigh Anne credits her knowledge to all the great instructors that have coached her over the years and strives to mimic their strength, tenacity, and positive vibe. She believes that scheduled classes help to keep athletes grounded and accountable, the camaraderie and social aspect are icing on the cake! Coach Leigh Anne says, “I want athletes to feel great and have a sense of accomplishment when they are done with their workout. My goal is to make sure participants always want to come back”.
When Leigh Anne is not at the gym, she works at MSU as an office manager for The Burgess Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. She loves to spend time with family and friends, travel, go for bike rides, and go on long walks. Leigh Anne has visited 16 National Parks and loves being outdoors as much as possible. When you see her, ask her which National Park is next on the list!
