Coach Becky

Coach Becky came to High Five Fitness in April of 2017 as a coach and an athlete.  Becky has been spinning since 2003 and has so much to offer!  At Coach Becky’s classes you can expect great music and a challenging workout.  She says, “I always hope my song choices distract the athletes from the work but also motivate them to push harder”.

Growing up, Becky was an all-around athlete and played softball through high school.  In addition to spin, she participates in yoga and CrossFit at HFF and has tried several other fitness classes and exercise regimens in the past. She even competed in the New Your City Half Marathon.  Becky is always striving to improve and is working on her barbell movements and pull-ups.   The feeling of satisfaction, accomplishment, and relief that comes with completing a tough workout is what keeps Becky coming back for more; She strives to mimic that feeling for her athletes.

When Becky is not coaching, she works as a program manager for a forensic science laboratory creating proficiency tests for forensic science labs all around the world!  (For all of us non-science people, a proficiency test is basically a fake police case with “evidence” to test forensic scientists to make sure that they are doing their job correctly).

She loves to read, listen to podcasts, and hike.  She also loves spending time with her husband, Russel, and their two young children, Sam and Avery.  Her family also includes a black Goldendoodle named Stella, over 60 house plants, and a vintage camper named Dorothy that they show off at vintage camper rallies around Michigan.
